Cinderfella Re-Edit

//i feel fine films

In dance music, a "re-edit" is an organization of a song into a new formation, usually consisting of looping the most rhythmic or beat-oriented parts of a song to make it playable as a dance track. This video, particularly inspired by Theo Parrish's Ugly Edits series, applies that concept to the Frank Tashlin-directed 1960 Jerry Lewis film Cinderfella. Through looping and juxtaposition, the video attempts to reorient our understanding of Lewis's physical performance style as a sort of comic dance, and also to underline the class themes prevalent in this film and in Lewis's work as a whole.
